Man and Responsibility – Quality Management

It goes without saying that the dictum about accuracy and necessity - taught to everyone in the metal industry - applies to Rexroth's company as well. It concerns the individual as a part of the production process and the product he creates. Its economic claims are indisputable.

However, the management of Alfred Rexroth are increasing their demand for high quality goods produced within their company. A literal interpretation of the above rule isolates the worker from his environment and so limits his responsibility solely to the product that he creates. Those responsible at the company took care to give the employees a new and even more responsible attitude towards goods, in terms of quality improvement and assurance. "Care" should include "responsibility".

In-house quality control and assurance extend to a complete system, which is constantly improved:

  • Requirements for quality when purchasing materials and tools, by considering their properties for processing, transportation and storage, as well as environmental compatibility.
  • Quality assurance through intelligent organisation through the intermediate and final stages of storage while maintaining "short access routes", in order to limit the damage to materials and tools.
  • Quality inspections in the workplace by the employee working on the product, and also at the quality department by quality inspectors with specific equipment.
  • Making all employees aware of quality issues, through consultation with the person responsible for quality control at the workplace or at the quality department.
  • Quality improvement as an important objective at the weekly work meetings at management level. At these the new contents of the quality manual - with regard to the conditions of operation - or new quality assurance measures might be discussed, for example.

From this point of view, it is only natural that both the management and the employees of Alfred Rexroth GmbH & Co. KG perform observations and in-house checks in accordance with the standards of DIN EN ISO 9001:2000.

More than that we are aware about the fate of substances in the environment. For this reason the environment management is an important part of our business. We are certified with the German Environment-Certifikate DIN EN ISO 14001.

Our concerted action is the sensible exposure to our environment. Therefore our management and all employees of the Alfred Rexroth company are awake to the environmemtal oders and regulations.
